RASSI RASEM - Squared

This column contains a menu for navigating through the website. This menu contains 18 entries and each entry is a jpg image. When you move the mouse over an entry, it is swapped by another image and when you move the mouse out, the original image reppears. This is done using java script.

RASSI (RASEM²'s Summer Science Institute) 2003

This year the summer science institute has the topic of Solar Power Automobiles. Activities for the students included:

Construction of solar powered amphibious vehicles (from a kit)
Construction of a solar oven (from scratch)
A field trip to the National Solar Observatory at Sacramento Peak, NM
Participated in a "Web Quest" (World Wide Web Q&A Assignment
Creation and power point presentation to peers on what they have learned during the week

Participants in RASSI 2003 included 31 students (21 with identified disabilities) for a total of 68% students with disabilities participating. Along with the students we had 4 teachers and 2 teacher c0-directors , 2 RASEM² mentors, 3 student staff and 3 RASEM 2 staff. For more information about RASSI 2003, check out this RAISE PAC .
